Self-Care Isn’t Selfish

So many of us were taught to put others before ourselves.

And of course, sensitivity to others is extremely important and much needed in our world today.

But I’ve found I’m able to give my best to everyone around me when I’m centered and fulfilled myself.

Christ tells us, “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

But we all know people who are so down on themselves, we’d hate to be their neighbor!

It’s something we’re always working on ~ it’s not like we need to be 100% fulfilled before we can turn our attention outward.

But it’s helpful to recognize our efforts toward self-care aren’t at all selfish because everyone else benefits from them!
