When we let fear take hold, it’s in control.
Simple as that.
Figure out what you fear most, and you’ll figure out what—or who—is in charge of your life.
Fear, anxiety, nervousness—they’re normal and unavoidable.
But we can’t let them be in charge—because when they are, we make really poor decisions.
And we’re only half alive.
We stay in unhealthy relationships because we fear being alone.
We remain in cruddy jobs because we fear pursuing our passion—we’re so worried about failing.
The other day, I was listening to Rebecca Perkins on Ané Auret’s podcast. I like how Rebecca put it:
“Be awake in your life.”
Fear keeps you asleep.
Because if you’re asleep, you won’t desire anything more and you won’t have to face your fears.
Let’s wake up.
